Abstract:
As the founder of the Tunisian psychiatric disciple in 1960, Pr. Sleim AMMAR, Psychiatric and also Psychotherapist used a kind of group therapy where we found a kind of combination between folk music " Haaddra" , induction, suggestions.
Pr Ammar, organised this kind of group therapy following behind steps:
1- He gathers about 10 of his patients who show the same signs of pathology ( most of time, hysteric signs) he gives order to his patients to seat in the front line, as possible near the folk music group and directly in front of them.
2- The folk music group, when ready start playing the most popular music by singing and playing the percussion instruments ( bandit & darbuka), the singing pattern is calm at first, but it escalates little by little.
3- Pr Ammar is wearing the traditional Tunisian dress" Jibba" and never sits, around between the the patients, giving instructions to patients to enjoy and to the musicians to escalate the musical noise.
4- After 30 minutes, the atmosphere of the concert becomes very noisy and more rhythmic, all dance, Pr AMMAR walks around among the dancers, telling them loudly to have more fun and forget about the present.
5- Small paper in his hand, Pr AMMAR comes up every time to one of his patients dancing to the point of numbness, calls her by her name, he goes around shouts" EVIL , JINN go out now, get out for her body, you no longer have authority over her, go out for ever...."
6- When all patients was controlled by the professor, the music come more slow and slow and stoped at the order of the professor.
All this description (who will be enforced by photos & videos) is in order to show how to link popular music and facilitate the entry into hypnosis, according to Pr.AMMAR, completely ride his patients of the sign of hysteria in 80% of cases presented to him.
In conclusion, this paper can be the start up of big number of scientific research to develop and analyse the relationship between some music and hypnotherapies.
